On April 15, 135 competitors officially embarked on the journey of the Zhangjiajie Qixing Mountain · Camel Cup Outdoor Challenge (Season 1), kicking off this 45-day extreme outdoor challenge that connects more than 10 districts and counties.
Under the theme of *Racing on the Peak of Mountains and Rivers, Energizing Greater Zhangjiajie*, the preliminary round has a fixed quota of 135 participants, including 110 male and 25 female athletes. Adopting a format of *graded elimination + regional linked stages*, the event implements rules such as GPS track verification and daily last-place elimination to ensure fairness and impartiality.
During the competition, the organizing committee will establish a three-dimensional safety guarantee system covering “air, ground and cloud”, deploying drone patrols, Beidou positioning and tracking, as well as 5G and satellite communications. A professional medical rescue and support team will be on standby, with a rescue response time of no more than 30 minutes in remote sections. Meanwhile, a total prize pool of over one million yuan will be offered, including daily prizes, cumulative prizes, special challenge prizes in the preliminary round, as well as championship, first and second runner-up awards in the final.
